Selling Cannabis Online Isn't Simple. Building Two Sites That Do It Right Is Even Harder.

Wyld had already won the shelf. The Pacific Northwest's leading cannabis edibles brand, expanding into new markets, with a product line that had earned genuine consumer loyalty. What they needed was a digital presence that matched the ambition.

The problem was structural. Cannabis regulations vary by state, restrict what can be sold online, and require a level of compliance architecture most ecommerce platforms aren't built for. Wyld needed two separate digital experiences — a fully functioning CBD ecommerce site and an immersive brochure site for their cannabis products that couldn't be sold online but still needed to convert browsers into believers.

WLCR started with a full ecosystem audit and strategic roadmap before a single line of code was written. The work that followed was some of the most technically ambitious we've done.

Design & Development | A custom Shopify Plus theme for the CBD ecommerce experience, migrated from WooCommerce and built for conversion. Recharge for subscriptions, Yotpo for loyalty and reviews, and a UX designed to turn first-time visitors into repeat customers.

Immersive Brochure Site | For the cannabis side, we built something closer to an experience than a website. Contentful CMS, React, Next.js, and Three.js combined to create a WebGL-based, interactive 3D environment with real-time lighting, power consumption management, and a level of craft that matched the product it was showcasing.

Compliance & Optimization | Age restrictions, regionally specific product information, ADA compliance, and conversion optimization built into every layer of both properties.

The Results

Wyld grew substantially across all key metrics in the years following launch — year-over-year revenue, recurring revenue, and CBD conversion rates all moved meaningfully in the right direction.
